Mid-City

BAYOU BEER GARDEN/WINE GARDEN

Another cool brewery that offers wine for people who don’t like beer. Located in Mid City, they offer a plethora of beers to try from. Dogs are welcome on the patio, and it’s an excellent place to watch a game or go with a big group.

WRONG IRON

The new hip spot as of 2019. Opened by the same people who own Tchoup Yard, located in Mid City, close to a bike path if you want to plan a day. The location is HUGE but gets very packed, especially on Wednesdays and Saturdays. They have beers, of course, but also great homemade drinks on tap. They usually also have a food truck. If you are lucky, you can grab one of the fire pits to unwind at.

THE DRIFTER

The Drifter is a remodeled motel with a small not-so-clean pool, a vibrant pink turf, and a disco ball, overlooked by a massive Morris Bart Injury Attorney billboard. The incredibly photogenic establishment features live music, including local up and coming DJs and more noteworthy DJs like SNBRN. Considering it is a hotel, all kinds of walks of life pass through, including seasoned backpackers and professional “shufflers.” It has a unique charm to it, like one of those places when EDM is dying, the legends of the genre will go back and reminisce about their start there. Almost like a Cavern Club for the genre. It caters to open-minded individuals. One of the more special places I have been in New Orleans, where it is nearly impossible to have a bad time.

SHAMROCK SALOON

I have never been here, but it comes highly recommended with tons of games and activities.
